Description of work

The money boxes above were made for newly arrived babies, Jessica and Rose May. They have a slot in the top for money, and they open about half way down, with a tight but not immovable friction fit. Various other versions are shown below. The size and shape is determined by the wood available.

The dedications - "Jessica's Money Box" and "Rose May's Money Box" - are burned on using a pyrography tool. Obviously anything could be here. Date of birth and other details are usually put on the base.
