A matching pair of table lamps, turned from olive ash, and showing the grain pattern to good effect. A simple design was requested, hence the plain wheatsheaf form, with the wood providing the decoration. The lamps are fitted with a switched solid brass bulb holder, with a 2 metre long bronze coloured flex and plug. I am not certified as an electrician, but they do work! Lamps can be provided without the wiring, or the wiring can be provided as a kit (£10) for self assembly. The price cited above excludes the cost of the Voyage fabric lampshades. One lamp in this or similar style, with electrics, would be £80, or £70 without the electrics.
The lamps were made to stand on pedestals, shown below. These are turned from oak, are 24 inches tall, with a stem 4" in diameter at its widest point. The oak has some spalting and some sapwood showing, which was retained to add a little character. Again the request was for a simple, unfussy design (unlike an earlier pedestal which is more like a sampler of possible curves).
