Wall hanging pole with finials

Description

An oak pole with finials and holders, all made from oak, to hold a William Morris inspired tapestry. The tapestry is 27 x 36 inches. The pole is 1.5" diameter, 39 inches long, plus the finials. These are turned with a beehive pattern of concentric beads, and slot loosely on to the ends of the pole. The pole is held by oak rings screwed into the wall.

A second version of this pole was made for a longer (120 cm) tapestry, requested by Katie in Wincanton.

Obviously the variations on this design are many. The length of the pole could be extended to suit curtains, and the diameter to suit rings, eyelets or tabs. The finials could be any size and design.
