Description of work
These egg cups were initially made as wedding favours fora large wedding list, all personalised with the wedding guests' names. Subsequently variations on the pyrographed design followed, and they were sold as sets or given as gifts.
In addition there was a request from a magician for a hollow egg box (i.e. an egg that opens up) for one of his tricks, which is the wooden egg in the picture above, made out of oak. The lid of the egg snaps closed using two magnets. I believe the trick involves naming a card inside the box - see a picture below.
The egg cups can be made in any available timber, and have any design or writing pyrographed on to the wood.
