Snowmen and snow families

Description of work

These snowmen are gathering for Christmas. They are turned from small braches of yew, the sapwood giving them their white coats. Their hats are added in walnut, mahogany or laburnum, to provide a contrast and allow a slight jaunty tilt. The scarves are cut from one of my old scarves. And finally, a couple of burns from the pyrography pen gives them their faces. No two are alike - their size and shape is determined by the branch from which they come. They obviously get on well together, as little snowfamilies have started appearing.
