A classic puzzle known as the Tower of Hanoi, or sometimes the tower of Brahma. The object of the puzzle is to move the tower from one peg to another, one piece at a time, never putting a larger disc on a smaller disc. The number of moves required doubles for each additional disc.
The piece is made from ash and mahogany, though any timbers could be used. The base could be of a different shape, including a circular base version.
The pieces are all finished with three coats of wax - Tripole, white diamond and finally carnauba wax, providing a high sheen and hard wearing finish.
