Description of work
An example of what can be done with pyrography. This sauce bottle was made following a request from a football club for this unusual trophy. The bottle is made to the same dimensions as the clsasic 255g bottle which has become an icon on many dinner tables. It is made from rippled ash. Most iconic containers could be rendered in wood and pyrography if required.
The bottle has been sealed with cellulose sealer, then three coats of wax have been applied: first Tripoli wax, then white diamond, and finally carnauba wax, leaving a high sheen hard wearing finish.
