Young cricketer of the year trophy

Description of work

The base, wickets, ball and bails are all turned from English yew.
Four engraving plaques have been added - one to say this is the trophy for Young Cricketer of the year, in memory of J V Wilson (Yorkshire captain and profilic batsman, former pupil of Malton School). The other two plaques are to record the winners each year.
The main trophy stays in the school's trophy cabinet. A small, individual version is presented to the student who wins the trophy each year - for them to keep. Some examples are below. A gallery of all versions of this trophy is available
