These trophies were made for my brother in law who sponsored them for his golf club's annual two-day tournament - PWMCGS - Poynton Workmens Club Golf Society. I believe they will be presented for the first time in June.
The main trophy stands on a dual-wood base - a rippled-sycamore central band to allow for pyrographed dedications, and an elm top and base. The ball and tee is from spalted beech, and the club has a walnut head, acacia stem and ebony grip handle.
The smaller trophies are for runners up - 2nd and 3rd place - and are turned from single pieces of spalted beech.
It was decided not to put winners names on the trophy bases - as this would require them to be returned annually for updating. Instead they just have 1st 2nd and 3rd on them, and annual winners' names will be kept on a board in the club, and the trophies will be kept by winners for the year.
Pricing within the range will reflect the amount and detail of the pyrography required.
