Phoenix Trophy

Description of work

This Phoenix trophy is awarded annually to a student at Malton School who has triumphed over some adversity.

Sycamore was used because its close grain allows pyrography detail and consistency. The outer circle was left plain and flat, to accommodate winners badges over the years.

This was an early creation in my history of making trophies. Were I to make it again I would put it on a plinth to allow it to stand up, or create a tripod stand for it.
