Description of work

As well as an annual history trophy in Oliver's name, money was raised by a sponsored walk to provide a shelter. When the shelter was erected, it was felt a commemorative plaque should be fitted to the wall.

This plaque was turned from light oak, and pyrography used to add a picture of Oliver and the dedications. Screw coverings were turned to hide the wall fixing screws. The whole was finished with a few coats of oil, to weatherproof the plaque.

It received a make-over in 2020, when I freshened up the pyrography and gave it half a dozen coats of Osmo UV protection oil, which will hopefully protect it againt the elements for a few more years.
