Religion and Philosophy Prize

Description of work

This trophy was commissioned by Malton School in 2013 to award to the best student in Religion and Philosophy classes. The large trophy will remain in school, with names being added each year. The smaller candle holder with candle will go to the prizewinner to keep. The large candle holder is made from laburnum, with a sycamore insert to take the writing, and another to take ten pictures of religious symbols. The candle it holds is made from a yew branch, with the sapwood providing the white waxy surface. The smaller candle and candle holder are all yew.
