Maths prizes - tangram puzzles

Description of work

These three trophies were awarded to students who came top in their age group in the UK Mathematical Challenge. They are versions of the classic tangram puzzle - the seven pieces in the centre are a dissection of a square, and the pieces can be reassembled in hundreds of different ways. One of the vulture like figures is shown in the picture above.

The puzzles are inscribed around their circumference using pyrography, then finished with a hard carnauba wax.
