Foot stool

Description

This sturdy small stool was made for my son - who could not quite reach the books on the top shelf of his bookcase. The legs are turned from oak, and the seat is also oak. The legs are fixed via circular tenons with cross wedges, and are aligned at an angle of about fifteen degrees.

The stool is finished with a couple of coats of mineral oil, followed by a beeswax paste, leaving a light sheen on the wood, but bringing out some of the colouring in the grain.
